Welcoming Committee

The Welcoming Committee of the TEMS PTO is composed of parents who want to reach out to TEMS families who are new to the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District (those who have recently moved here, transferred from a private school etc).

If your family is new to the district, you should have already received a packet from the Welcoming Committee-either in paper form or via an email from the TEMS main office.  This packet contains various resources to help you adjust to the school and community. We would love to reach out to your family individually, but we need your permission to do so (by filling out the form in the packet). If you need a copy of the Welcoming Committee packet, please contact Jen Marsala at jenmarsala@verizon.net.

New Family Coffees

We are holding New Family Coffees once per month so that people can connect with other newcomers as well as members of the Welcoming Committee.  There is no official agenda or "topic of the month"- it's an informal way for us to get to know each other  and to answer whatever questions you have. Each coffee date is planned about a month ahead of time and is posted on an ongoing basis in the left column of the TEMS PTO email blast. If you are not receiving the blast, please visit TEMSPTO.org and click the "Join Our Mailing List" button at the bottom of the webpage.

Multilingual Speakers

If your primary language is a language other than English...Many of the TEMS Welcoming Committee members are multilingual speakers and would love to speak with you in your native language! (Their contact information can be found in the Welcoming Committee packet referenced above.)

List of Helpful Webpages

Parents of the Welcoming Committee created a list of school and PTO webpages that they find to be especially valuable. You can find that list here.

Volunteering for the Welcoming Committee

If you are interested in welcoming new families and you would like to volunteer to be a part of the Welcoming Committee, contact Jen Marsala at jenmarsala@verizon.net.
